Harold was born in 1969. He obeyed the gospel in October, 1985. Brother Hinson served as a deacon for a number of years before he was appointed an elder two years ago. In December of 1993 he married Amy Smith. Amy and Harold have one son, Samuel Hinson who was born in 1996. Their son Sam obeyed the gospel in 2008 and he leads the singing regularly and serves as needed in the church services at Locust St. Brother Harold works as District Manager for Advance Auto Parts.

Dan King, Sr.
Dan King served as an elder for ten years for the Kingston Springs church of Christ in Kingston Springs, TN. In his eighth year with Locust St. he was appointed an elder for this congregation. For personal information see under “Evangelist.”
Dale Lindsey
Dale was born in 1956 in Canyon, TX. He moved with his family to Florence, AL where he attended Wilson High School in North Alabama, graduating in 1974. He moved to Columbia, TN in 1978 to work as a machinist at Columbia Machine Works, Inc. Dale has 47 years of machine shop experience with nearly 44 years at CMW. In 1978 he met Joan Hughes, whom he married in 1989. In 1994 they were blessed with a son, Hunter Dale Lindsey. Hunter is also a member at Locust St. and is active in his service to the Lord. Dale and his family worshipped for 25 years with the Collegevue church of Christ where Dale was baptized on 3/28/1998, where he also served as a deacon for over 20 years. In August of 2021 Dale and his family moved to Locust St. and placed their membership. He was appointed an elder in May of 2022.
Hendley Edwards
Hendley is a native of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and has been attending worship at the Locust Street church of Christ all of his life. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1975. He began his service in the church when he obeyed the gospel in 1969. Brother Edwards was appointed a deacon in 1997, and was assigned the task of Treasurer of the congregation shortly after that. He was married to Beverly Crews Edwards in 1981. They have two children: Lauren (Eric) Dial and Luc Edwards. He has an AS degree from Columbia State Community College (1977), a BS degree from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville, 1980), studied at the Graduate School of Banking in Baton Rouge, LA (1999), and works at Heritage Bank & Trust.
Jonathan Runions
Johnathan Runions was born in Columbia, TN in 1990. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Mt. Pleasant where he graduated from High School in 2009. After graduating, he attended Columbia State Community College where he received his Associates degree in Radiologic Technology. He then went to Chattanooga State Community College where he received his certification in radiation therapy. Later he received his Bachelors Degree in health care administration from Trevecca University. He serves as chief radiation therapist at Maury Regional Cancer Center. He has been married to his wife Britani for over 7 years and they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Mary Kate and John Luke. He has attended Locust St. his entire life.
Daniel H. King, Sr.
Dan King, Sr. was born in 1948 in Union City, TN. He and his wife Donna have two children: Dan Jr. and Jennifer. He has preached for churches in Downers Grove, IL and Lakeland, FL, but most of his local work has been in Tennessee. He lives in Columbia, Tennessee and is associated with the church of Christ at Locust Street, in Mt. Pleasant, TN where he serves as the local preacher. He has written extensively in many religious journals, both popular as well as professional. Dan attended Wayne State University, David Lipscomb College (B.A.), Harding Graduate School of Religion (M.A.), and Vanderbilt University (Ph.D.). He served as an adjunct professor at Tennessee State University in 1976 and at Florida College during 1984-88.
Brother King has authored several tracts and a number of books: Hebrew and Hellenistic Thought in the Book of Wisdom, We Have a Right (with Mike Willis), Responsibility and Authority in the Spiritual Realm (with Leon Boyd), At the Feet of the Master Teacher, Commentary on the Gospel of John, Commentary on the Epistles of John, Commentary on the Book of Hebrews, Commentary on Daniel, Commentary on James, “I Saw the Heaven Opened”: A Commentary on Revelation, The Days of Creation, Searching for Happiness?, God Does Exist: Examining the Major Formal Arguments for and against the Existence of God, and Daniel, Ezekiel, Song of Solomon, Hebrews and Revelation in the Bible Text Book series. Currently he is engaged in writing a commentary on Proverbs.
Dan preached his first sermon while in college in 1967 and preached regularly after that first rather awkward effort. He assumed full time responsibilities in working with a local congregation in Millington, TN in 1971. He has preached almost every Sunday since those early days as God has granted him good health and favorable circumstances to do so. His evangelistic work has taken him to most of the states of the US, and a number of foreign countries. Local work has been done in Illinois and Florida, but mostly in Middle Tennessee. He is fervent in his love for the Bible, believing it to be the fullness of the mind of God for mortal man and the perfect guide for one’s life in every age. Preaching and teaching the Bible and writing about its various component parts are his highest aspiration.
